This year’s Company Christmas Party at the Stables was amazing. Food was absolutely stunning, starters were amazing. Loved the mushroom pâté, slight sweetness paired with the crunch of the bread was really nice. Mains were delicious, beef was really good. Would have been nice with a bit more sauce! But apart from that it was great. Veggies were roasted to perfection. Dessert was my favourite course, the profiteroles were so light with a light crunch on the crust, the baileys cream inside was so good, it was like eating a cloud. Chocolate wasn’t too overly sweet which was the perfect touch for me. Staff were friendly and attentive, we had an amazing time and would definitely come again!!!
Just finished dining at the stables with my husband and two children. Absolute wow. We've dined at The Glasshouse but really fancied a roast experience in their sister restaurant and this didn't disappoint. We came early so we could have a drink in the bar and had the first evening sitting at 5:30. Bar experience was great, we sat outside. When we attended for our booking they'd also placed us outside as the weather was so pleasant. We had the view of the golf course which was picturesque. I had the sirloin roast, my husband had a burger, the children penne and fish and chips. I can't recall the last time I ate a whole roast, absolutely demolished it and the veg was divine. The children enjoyed their meals and so did my husband. Deserts were lovely and we had baileys coffees. Wow. Big shoutout to Danielle who served us (don't lose her) and Lewis who looked after us very well. It's not a doorstep visit as we live in Essex but it's certainly worth the journey to visit The Grove and The Stables. Thank you so much, we'll be back. Absolute gratitude to all the staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is a perfect place for important events and celebrations. The Stables have bar and dining areas. Nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly. Monika, who served our table is very cheerful and helpful. The food is very good with 5-star hotel standard. Even their sourdough is served warm and yummy.
I absolutely love The Stables. The food never disappoints and the service is 5 stars. They are considered, caring and we love taking our daughter. The grounds are lovely to walk around after your meal. The prices are quite reasonable considering the portions
I had the most incredibel time with my family at The Stables in The Grove! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and truly family-friendly, perfect for a relaxing and memorable meal together. Dinner was absolutely amazing. The portions were generous and filling, beautifully plated with such attention to detail that you almost didn’t want to disturb them, almost! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour; you can tell the kitchen puts real heart into their food. The service was equally outstanding, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. It’s rare to find a place that hits all the marks: delicious food, great presentation, and a family-friendly vibe all wrapped into one. Highly recommend The Stables for anyone visiting The Grove, whether you're with kids, friends, or just want to enjoy a comforting, high-quality meal. We’ll definitely be back!
A really lovely place for a hig-end meal, but not too stuffy and formal. Perfect for a family celebration. Food seemed a bit too salty- but I know that's the chefy way of seasoning, still. And OTOH, though we weren't given a cocktail list they were able to make my favourite on request. A definie bonus.
